The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Department of Labor & Industry (DLI)
Position Title: DLI - Application Architect TAS2 (747896)
Location: On-Site in Harrisburg, PA
Duration: Initial term through 06/30/2025 (+ Annual Renewal in 1-Year Terms)
Note: Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance (2-hour/100-miles) of Harrisburg, PA.
This is a position as an Application Architect supporting the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) under the Employment Banking and Revenue Delivery Center (EBR-DC). The selected candidate will work with the EBR development teams, program delivery areas, and business partners to complete system and data analysis. The selected candidate will develop designs, proposals, builds, and other artifacts to support the migration and implement the strategy plan for the development team. The architecture will define efficient functionality delivery, data reliability, and customer experiences.
Work will include developing digital artifacts to support communication to the development team. Documentation will include strategy and roadmaps, design plans, hosting pattern and implementation documents, system to system integration requirements using enterprise frameworks and services, implementation plans, and support plans.
This position is responsible for communicating constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope to BSM management as it impacts delivery of work products. This team lead position is responsible for mentoring all levels of applications developers in the design, development, assembly, testing, and deployment of highly complex software.
The Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 7+ Years: Experience with object-oriented development
- 7+ Years: Experience with .NET applications development
- 7+ Years: Experience with relational database development
- 7+ Years: Strong oral and written communication skills
- 5+ Years: Experience in web service design & development (SOAP/XML and REST/JSON) for enterprise
- 5+ Years: Experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, front end JavaScript technologies such as Angular, React, etc.
- 5+ Years: Experience developing web services, especially secured web services and web services with attachments
- 5+ Years: Experience in deploying applications to Azure cloud
- 5+ Years: Experience with various authentication protocols
- 5+ Years: Experience architecting, developing, & designing web applications to meet business requirements
