The Position:
Position Title: ERP Project Manager
Location: Hybrid Remote Off-Site and On-Site (as required) in Middletown, PA
Duration: 12-24+ Month Project
We are seeking an ERP Project Manager to add to our team assisting the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO). Project duration will be for a period of 12 months, with the potential to renew for an additional 12 months. Work environment will be hybrid, primarily remote off-site with on-site presence as required.
The PTC implemented SAP ERP to support the business in 2007. The existing ERP system is currently lacking advanced technologies that are essential for operational efficiencies in today’s business environment. The current environment is an on-prem multi-tiered/multi-client environment composed of but not limited to ECC, SRM, BI/BW, and Fiori including key integrations:
- SmartDocs: Vendor Portal
- SuccessFactors:
- OnBase: Document management
- AgileAssets: Signs, Tunnels, and Pavement/Road asset management
- ServiceNow: Change Management, Asset tracking
- Qlik Sense: Data analytics and dashboarding
- Board: Operating budget
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Kahua: Engineering project management
- Financial Institutions
- Benefit Providers
- Commonwealth of PA
Currently, work continues to develop the RFP for release in FY24, with implementation to follow in FY25. This is a complex project encompassing a core PTC application that will require a highly motivated individual, with exceptional organizational skills.
Our ERP Project Manager will manage PTC’s multi-phase SAP ERP environment to an on-premise in the cloud S/4 HANA update and data migration effort as their sole project. The PM, in parallel to managing the current efforts, will be expected to manage and coordinate with additional development and work efforts surrounding resource strategy, data archive and cleansing, cloud provider and landscape, overall interrelated project schedule(s), and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) vendor assisting with RFP review, scope, and SME guidance. The selected Candidate will perform the following duties:
- Manages and coordinates the activities of internal and/or external staff involved in multiple IT projects of varying complexity.
- Develops and maintains project plans and other artifacts as required using PTC or other established project management standards, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
- Coordinates current and future Governance and other project related cadence calls as required.
- Coordinates with business owners and other analysts to define and refine the project scope.
- Performs project management duties through the entire project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
- Conducts lessons learned sessions during and after projects to identify recommendations for improvement.
- Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
- Selected Candidate will coordinate all project activities with System Integrator Project Managers including interrelated projects within the PTC landscape.
- Adheres to the PTC PMO Playbook and referenced artifacts.
The Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 10+ Years: Experience and expertise in Project / Project Management of projects of various size and subject matter, including but not limited to integration, scope, schedule, cost, communication, vendor, and risk planning and management
- Experience managing high profile subject matter vendors within the on-prem and cloud landscape
- Experience with Enterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP upgrade project(s) as Project Manager
- PMP Certification
- Experience with multi-year projects
- ServiceNow experience in Idea, Project, and Demand modules is a plus
- ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies experience is a plus
