The Position:
Position Title: Java Developer
Location: Hybrid Remote Off-Site and On-Site (as required) in Mechanicsburg, PA
Duration: Long Term Contract
Note: Positions will be primarily remote off-site, with occasional on-site work as required; therefore, the client prefers candidates within reasonable commuting distance (100-miles / 2-hours +/-) of Mechanicsburg, PA.
We are seeking multiple Java Developers with a strong focus on developing system architecture and design involving Java, Microservices, Spring boot, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, Spring integration, Spring Cloud, MAVEN, AngularJS, Oracle PL/SQL.
The Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Excellent core Java skills and experience with the use of frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience on Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Microservices, Web services
- Hands-on experience with the use of relational databases – in particular Oracle – and the development SQL statements and Oracle PL/SQL procedures
- Strong knowledge of UI screen development using Vue.js, AngularJS, HTML 5, JSON.
- Understanding of key components of a Microservices architecture including containers, load balancing, distributed cache.
- Hands on exposure to all development tools, build tools like maven, CI/CD configurations, optimization of source code experience, Bitbucket, Source Tree
- Spring - Expert-level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring Data and Spring Integration.
- Experience in usage of Design Patterns and understanding of Software Development Constructs.
- Deep knowledge and experience using relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience integrating with third-party rules engines, in particular Corticon
- Clear understanding of Web services approach including Web service protocols such as SOAP and REST
- Other skills include SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSLT, XPATH
- Prior work experience with the following: REST, Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Jax RS
- Exposure to develop highly distributed, scalable and high-performing systems
